TCDN - On the morning of April 17, at the General Department of Taxation, the Vietnam Tax Consultants' Association (VTCA) solemnly held a ceremony to receive the Second-Class Labor Medal and celebrate its 16th anniversary.
Attending the ceremony were Minister of Finance Hồ Đức Phớc; Mr. Mai Xuân Thành, Director General of the General Department of Taxation; former Directors General of the General Department of Taxation; representatives of various departments and divisions under the Ministry of Finance and the General Department of Taxation; representatives from local tax departments; and strategic partners of the association, including ACCA, CPA Australia, VACPA, and VAA. Also present were members of the VTCA Executive Committee and distinguished representatives of VTCA members from across the country.


On behalf of the President, Minister of Finance Hồ Đức Phớc presented the Second-Class Labor Medal, while Director General of the General Department of Taxation Mai Xuân Thành offered flowers to VTCA.
Speaking at the anniversary ceremony, Minister of Finance Hồ Đức Phớc congratulated the Vietnam Tax Consultants' Association (VTCA) on its achievements over the past 16 years.
On behalf of the Ministry of Finance, the Minister highly appreciated and commended the dedication and responsibility of the VTCA Executive Committee and its members, who have made great efforts to successfully fulfill their duties. Over the years, VTCA has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Third-Class Labor Medal, the Government's Emulation Flag, a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister, and both Emulation Flags and Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Finance.
Notably, on October 10, 2023, the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam decided to award VTCA the Second-Class Labor Medal for its outstanding contributions to national development during the 2018 – 2022 period. Today, VTCA continues to be honored with this prestigious medal, recognizing its significant role in the country's progress.

"Based on VTCA's outstanding achievements, I highly appreciate and sincerely congratulate all of you. In the coming period, I hope that VTCA will continue to collaborate with the General Department of Taxation and other agencies under the Ministry of Finance to effectively fulfill its functions and responsibilities, contributing to the growth of the taxation sector. On behalf of the Ministry of Finance, we are committed to working closely with VTCA and providing all necessary support to ensure its continuous development, enabling it to make even greater contributions to the country and join hands with the Ministry in shaping and refining tax policies to drive national progress," emphasized the Minister.
Sharing her thoughts at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyễn Thị Cúc, President of VTCA, expressed her gratitude for the presence of the Minister of Finance, the Director General of the General Department of Taxation, former Directors General of the General Department of Taxation, and all distinguished guests.

Ms. Nguyễn Thị Cúc stated that over the past 16 years, despite facing numerous challenges in terms of human and material resources, the Vietnam Tax Consultants' Association (VTCA) has successfully fulfilled its mission as outlined in its charter, with a commitment to sustainable development. The association has earned the trust and confidence of government agencies, the business community, and taxpayers for its contributions to the development and improvement of the tax policy system, as well as its efforts in tax policy dissemination, guidance, and updates.
VTCA has steadily strengthened its reputation, enhancing its position both domestically and internationally. The association has been recognized and highly valued by the Government, the Ministry of Finance, the General Department of Taxation, the Asia-Oceania Tax Consultants' Association, as well as various partners, particularly its members and the business community.
Building on its achievements in the past term, VTCA will continue to consolidate and expand its organization, innovate its operations to adapt to new requirements, and enrich its activities to be more diverse, practical, and effective. Operating under the principles of professionalism, credibility, legal compliance, cooperation, and development, VTCA aims to become a strong and professional occupational organization. The association will closely collaborate with the General Department of Taxation and local tax departments to develop a nationwide tax agency system, establish tax agency practice procedures, and enhance trust among businesses, taxpayers, and tax authorities regarding the quality of tax agency services.
Additionally, VTCA is committed to improving the quality of member services, fostering skill development, and promoting the dissemination, updates, and guidance on tax compliance. Special attention will be given to the newly amended tax laws, ensuring that tax agents and the business community are well-informed. Through these efforts, VTCA aims to support the effective implementation of tax policies, enhance tax management efficiency, and facilitate tax compliance while reducing costs for taxpayers.

VTCA leadership awarded certificates of merit to 27 collectives and 17 individuals for their outstanding achievements in their work.
